Surrey Heath Green Waste Club

The Green Waste Club launched in August 2006 with collections commencing from September with this new service replacing the pre-paid garden sacks. The Green Waste Club offers residents the chance to recycle their garden waste in a more convenient and efficient way and above all safer for our collection crews.  This new service is an innovative solution to increase recycling across the Borough with Surrey Heath Borough Council and Verdant Group, the Council’s waste and recycling contractor working in partnership.

Verdant collects the garden waste and takes it to be composted at a local composting facility, reducing the amount of waste taken to landfill. This will help Surrey Heath Borough Council improve its recycling rate, remove waste from going to landfill, and contribute to a cleaner, greener local environment.

Green waste is collected from the edge of the property on a fortnightly basis.  Verdant will contact you to advise you of your collection day.

Also, we now have our 1500th member Mrs Cormican from Frimley, who commented “I decided to join the club as I am on my own and I can’t drive, so I felt this would be an easy and convenient way of getting rid of my garden waste.”
