Arun Green Waste Club
The Green Waste Club was launched in March 2005, offering residents the chance to recycle their garden waste. The first year of this new service has seen an excellent response from the public, with over 6,000 residents subscribing to the scheme. Verdant collects the garden waste and takes it to be composted at a local composting facility, reducing the amount of waste taken to landfill.
Since it was launched, the club has recycled over 2,000 tonnes of garden waste. This has helped Arun District Council improve its recycling rate, remove waste from going to landfill, and contributed to a cleaner, greener local environment.
Green waste is collected from the edge of the property on a fortnightly basis. Verdant will contact you to advise you of your collection day.
